I agree JL, but, there is no way almost 1/2 the population will accept "this" Bush presidency. Even though he wins it by adhering to the constitution. He will be attacked, stymied, and proclaimed to be a thief. Not only by 48+% of the population, but also by 48% of the our congress. Remember, the rules are not meant to be followed by the democrats. Their philosophy is this; You self righteous republicans claim that the you are law abiding, therefore you must adhere to stricter rules than we do. I agree that Bush would be better in the office than Gore would.

Remember who we're dealing with. Gore's man Daily. The Daily's have participated in more fraudulent activities than the mafia. They know how to get away with it.

Bush is in a no win situation. He's already PO'd a bunch of people by claiming victory before all the absentee ballots have been counted. It would have been fine to start quietly lining up his cabinet, but not publicly.

He needs to stand up and tell this country that he will not put them through this fiasco. Confidence in our election process is already shaken(due to Gore IMHO). He could make Gore look like the arrogant baby he is by putting the country ahead of both candidates and stepping aside now. This goes totally against my grain but Bush is making a mistake by not stepping forward right now. His leadership ability would be verified and stuffed down Gore's throat.

Hard decision I know, but it's about the country, not the candidates.

Have a good one.
