James--This issue has already been addressed. The HOuse will probably wait for resolution of all outstanding states. To do anything else would not play well with the people in those states and for that matter the whole country.

If no resolution occurs before Jan 20, the House would most like elect Speaker of the House Hastert as Acting President and the Senate would pick someone for Acting VP.

I think the official count of the Electors vote by Congress will be postponed, and Denny Hastert, Speaker of the House, will become acting President.

The alternative, disqualifying Florida's votes, would mean that almost 6 million Floridians will be disenfranchised.

It would also mean that both candidates will start filing legal actions to disqualify the Electors in states they didn't win in, and where will that end? Gore can't win that fight, the House has a Republican majority, and the House would pick Bush.
