If that Fox News report is right, there is no stopping a broader hand recount. Clearly, the machine count did not accurately count all of the votes counted. They may need to bite the bullet and hand count the entire state.

Let me see, filing an injunction in Federal Court to stop county recounts in a state where there appear to be anomalies and this rush to certification and coronation, you are telling me that this cleaves to the highest of traditions of The Republic?

Bush is wrapping himself with shame here. This is the same man that has just 3 years ago signed a law preferring the accuracy of hand recounts over machine, yet now when his margin of victory hangs in the balance he would say the opposite. This is a man that you think is acting Presidential? This looks to me to be a man possessed of a self serving intellect. I see no genuine consideration for the Republic coming from him despite his words.

Are we never to have a President that can speak with a voice of moral authority again?
