<Florida law allows a one time request for hand count. The Republicans evidently exercised this right elsewhere in Florida.>

What could possibly make you think that the Republicans evidently" requested a hand count. Why couldn't the county decide to hand count the ballets during the recount on their own? Why can't Gore live with the recount, wait for the oversea ballet count, and live with the results? I find it interesting that when a similar situation happened to Nixon and Ford, they didn't challenge the results.

If all FL votes were recounted by hand and Bush still came out on top, does anybody on this thread really think that Gore would accept the results? Now you know why Baker said what he said today.

Gore reminds me of some golfers I've played golf with. They hit their tee shot and it goes OB. They take a mulligan and hit that tee shot OB. They take another mulligan and before they hit the third ball I say, "why don't you just hit a small bucket until you like the results".

The election is over and the recount is done. Let's count the overseas ballets and declare a winner. Then let's worry about important things like the future of QCOM.
