andreas: Thanks for the link...1.2 gig TBird at $500 vs. 1.5 gig P4 at $1100, and that's before DDR vs. RMBS...Hardly seems like a horse race inasmuch as the P4 not only can't significantly outperform the 1.2 gig T-Bird but underperforms on many benchmarks... Sounds like perception will change...Maybe now consumers perception of AMD's "quality" will improve...After all not only is AMD able to offer competitive performance but at a lower price and lower MHz...i.e MHz to MHz, INTC is eating AMD's dust!!! This P4 might turn out to be the modern day edsel!!!
