Bush has one chance and one chance only and I see that as slim now. He wins with absentee votes and Gore concedes.

WINNER IS GOING TO BE - GORE!

This is not a prediction - It is a Fact!

Voltaire - planning his investments with that in mind

There is only chance for Bush. It is very simple. He has to be able to halt the manual count. If he can't do that, it is game over.

Winner is going to be Gore! I agree with you.
I can't see any other scenario. I think the absentee Ballot is not going to be enough to help him against the manual count as it appears to be unfolding.

As a trader, I am just looking to buy puts on the rallying drug stock early next week. They are going to drop or even tank in the coming days and weeks on valuations (and on the Gore win possibility)as they appear to be getting expensive in comparison to a lot of tech stocks these days. As the uncertainty decreases in the coming weeks, there is another reason to sell them.

Vol - Looks like I won the bet!!! BTW what was it?

Somoene on one of the threads was talking about just having a run of the mill correction or....and wait for this ........

"One of those once in a lifetime corrections

Anyone want to guess Monday?

The point is that we are now getting almost weekly downgrades of INTC from Mr Niles. Has he had anything positive to say? Is there any level that he would reccomend INTC?

I thought we had the DELL downgrade in OCT now we get at least two downgrades of each stock.

Last year the economy was looking forward to growth of 6%-7% now we are starring a decline in GDP in the face. If the NAZ was 2,500 sumer of 1999 when the economy was growing nicely what will the NAZ be if the economy is in recession with falling GDP?

OK Mr Greenspan is as happy as can be but there are many others who aren't.

Best regards,

L

So Voltaire
From reading your post it almost sounds like you have seen the democratic machine in action
I live in a county that is so democratic that republicans do not even run, I think you could get more votes putting child molester behind your name.
Take Volts word for it this thing is over gore won
The republicans just have to much baggage --honosty, morals, integrity legality---- the dems are not bothered by these trivial things
I've seen it up close and it ain't pretty
