It seems to me that if the manual recount shows that there were a lot of votes cast that were not recorded on the machine count, the whole state should be recounted by hand. If none of the scores of lawyers Bush has working for him read the Florida law about the deadlines for asking for a hand recount, and the deadline really has passed, he may have the biggest case of legal malpractice in history. If he know about the deadlines and chose to ignore it, he has some explaining to do to his supporters.
