Jay,

The poll you cite conveniently avoids the real issue of whether a hand count should be made, and where will it end.

Let's say the hand count gives Gore a slight edge. Then Bush will ask for a hand count in Republican counties, and back and forth.

The poll question really should be

"Do you think a hand count should be done, despite the fact that machine counts are significantly more accurate and devoid of potential mistake or bias?"

By the way, great topic.

Jay,

Ask that same question in a week when the Dems are still fishing for votes.

When asked directly today whether Friday the 17th would be the end after all absentee ballots are counted, Daley only said "we'll have to explore our options at that point."

Disgusting.
