>>Since these are Democratic districts, most of the found votes will be Democratic.<<

EXACTLY. this isn't about what the voters in florida wanted, this about getting demos elected. a republican county tossed 26k ballots. no recount there.

what happens when the 2 folks disagree on the "divined intent" of the voter? i understand it goes to a board where two out of three arbiters are democratic and 2/3 is a final decision.

i GUARANTEE gore picks up enough votes in the manual count to win the election - absentee ballots or not. i wouldn't be surprised if folks are punching unpunched ballots as we speak. or maybe they are just putting and indentation in some of them. there are well over 6,000 ballots that will require "deciphering" in addition to those loose chad issues.

two precincts are 9-1 democratic. chad issues will be 90% democratic. of those 6k+ ballots, it will be easy for the powers to be (demos) to "divine" the intent of the voter. democratic.

bush loses this election b/c he was outfoxed by gore. bush s/h requested hand recounts in ALL of florida IF gore's hand count request was deemed legal.

i don't see a fed'l court over riding florida law - especially when gw supports manual counts. the court, in effect, would actively decide this election. not gonna happen, imho.

gore wins. bill clinton's slimy legacy continues at another level. repbulicans were outfoxed again.
