nadine, it will be interesting when the demos make up the required votes plus some whether the republicrats will then request a hand count in republican districts that had the same issues as the demican districts.

there is supposed to be a 72 hour deadline, however, will jeb stretch the deadline for his brother?

whomever takes this election will be terribly tarnished.

Nadine,

I think recounts are nothing unusual in very close elections. However, I think one recount should be enough.

Now suppose the manual count shows Gore winning? That doesn't mean he won! It means a bunch of subjective and error prone people came up with a different number than less error prone machines did on two separate occasions.

Should that require another count. How about 3 of 5? Maybe 4 of 7? 5 of 9?

The Gore people should accept the 2nd automated count. There's no chance the machines are lying or playing subjective games. Maybe they are wrong, but it's an accident if they are. I'll take an accidental error over a deliberate or bias based one every time.

The Gore people are a bunch of sore losers that are attempting to use any and all methods possible to win regardless of the damage they do to the process, the potential Bush administration, the US reputation overseas, etc... They are on the low road and they are dragging the Republicans with them - and believe me the Republicans don't need much help.
