NOT! did you know that 26,000 ballots, more than 33 % than palm beach county, were thrown out in a republican district? IF the democrats wanted a REAL election then they would have addressed all of the threown out ballots across the state, not just those in democratic areas with a focus on those areas where gore won 9-1. >>So all we can tell for sure is that the losing side will feel cheated no matter what happens.<< true. my belief is that gore wins florida. florida law allows that a hand count can be requested in 72 hours. not fed'l court will over turn florida law, imho. the demos requested demo partisan areas to hand count fully knowing that the results could only benefit them. gwb turned out to live up to his not too smart reputation and his advisors sorely let him down. it will cost him BIF. gore will be viewed as STEALING the election and the partisanship in washington will multiply geometrically. if hand counting is allowed, the only FAIR way to decide florida is to hand count every area in the state. neither demicans nor republicans want FAIR, they want to WIN. our political hypocrisy, hackdom, situational ethics, selfishness, knuckledraggerness is on display - both for this nation and the world. IT IS UGLY!
