I just wrote a full page in answer to your post and as I went to post it my computer crashed, and I'm not about to rewrite it. However here are a few of my thoughts...

I'm reading between the lines of the article. First, do you think that Langton and the Democrats would want 26,000 nullified votes recounted from a primarily Republican district? Of course not. There is no way in hell that this would benefit Gore. His job was to play down this matter as much as possible that's why he claimed that Stafford told him only 200 to 300 votes were nullified. At the time it was only the Democrats that were looking for recounting the votes. Had this been the interest of the Republicans they sure as hell would have asked for recounts in the Duval district. Yes... THE DEMOCRATS DID NOT WANT THE NULLIFIED VOTES IN THE DUVAL DISTRICT RECOUNTED! JMHO
