Hi Victor,

Time for me to go hang out with the bears. :)

In the short run, the stock market is a hope meter, in the long run, a weighting machine, as Warren Buffett so perceptively stated. His second-in-command Charlie Munger is even more descriptive. When asked about investing in Internet stocks, Charlie was heard to comment: "It's just too hard to pick the raisins out of the turd."

I have a file of about 30 FO start-ups who have received about $500MM in mezz financing in the last two quarters. Though there are a lot of niches in FO sector, there are only so many end customers for the telecommunications services to be offered. One only needs to see how many people, enterprises and governments that are clamoring for
broadband connectivity and how much they are willing to pay for it, and one realizes that there is a basic problem looming, not enough profitable end customer demand for bandwidth services.
