Not only would no one remember Bush for exiting gracefully, but the Democrats will libel him, his views, his intellect, and his memory to legitimize and bolster the outcome. They already are. Some of us tend to have high and mighty thoughts of respect for fallen Republicans, but others waste no opportunity to desecrate their memory. Notice how a whole new wave of Nixon hate-mongering has arisen since his death? Have you heard even a single charitable statement by a Democrat on behalf of Newt Gingrich? Sadly, we live in partisan times. Tip O'Neill would be aghast.
