RWS: It is not just Nader who got thrashed. Remember what Bush's team did to McCain in SC? They absolutely had to stop his candidacy ... and did ... calling around to religious types to insinuate that McCain's adopted Indian child was really his illegitimate kid ... that stunk so badly that I could not vote for Bush even if I am a registered Republican and a Yalie. Dragging a kid into muck like that is unforgivable in my mind.

In my opinion, had there been a Colin Powell, a McCain, Lieberman or Cheney or some other half decent candidate at the head of either ticket we would not be in this mess. All these two jerks did was argue over who was going to give away the surplus to whom. That is akin to you and me arguing over how to spend the Powerball when we win it next year. Of all the voters I have spoken to, only one went out and voted FOR a candidate ... all the rest voted for X because they could not stand Y.
