Tua reveals prefight injury
By Flattop

Following tonight's fight, Tua promoter Dan Goosen said "David Tua suffered a rib injury about two months ago in training camp. David showed what kind of warrior he was and resumed training after three or four days. David wore a torso protector for the last two months of camp."

Tua trainer Kevin Barry further detailed that Tua had suffered a "torn cartridge in the rib cage on the left side." Barry said that in the second round, a Lewis right handaggravated this injury and "restricted David from throwing his left and moving his body to the side...David couldn't unload his hook." A disappointed Tua conceded the victory to the Champion Lewis and promised to be back. Tua grudingly admited the injury. Regardless, Lewis gave a methodical and effective championship performance that kept the challenger guessing throughout.

LPS5 note: Yeah, yeah, yeah - my ass. Anything but the fact that the one-punch warrior was emasculated by a taller man's jab, right?
