I am watching it live and it is a very sad day for our democracy.

To win this battle at all costs is the position of Gore and his blind faith followers. This could hurt our system.

This is not the way it should be, and this will be looked back upon as a dark hour for our nation and most specific for Mr. Gore.

Its really too bad.

All politics is local. I thought the very same thing. I forget who said that. Possibly it was Tip O'Neill. But whoever it was hit the nail on the head here.

This meeting in the open is just the most fascinating and open display of local politics many people are likely to ever see. That was terrific drama with the Election itself potentially hanging in the balance.
