4 out of about 400 precincts were counted. These were on ballots that did NOT register a vote for president (the "Under" count). Gore gained 33 votes, Bush gained 14, so the net increase was 19 votes. I suppose you could extrapolate and say he would therefore gain 1900 county wide, but of course Bush would gain proportionately more if you hand counted state wide.

Of interest is that it took 10 hours to count 1% of the precincts. I guess we can extrapolate from that it will take about 1000 hours to count the whole county (only 42 days if they work 24/7, which I seriously doubt they will).

How will the markets react? Not well at all, IMHO...
