Say it isn't so..... We will have an apples & oranges vote count in the state of Florida & this will determine the next president of the USA.

Apples..... The democrats get 4 counties that are democratic strongholds that will be manually counted. This should, in all likelihood, add significant numbers of votes to Gore's totals.... as the 1% sample bears out.

Oranges...... The republicans will have the rest of the state use the original electronic totals.... no additional votes will be included regardless of how many votes may have been for Bush in the rest of the state (where he won in the first two tabulations).

Somehow, many democrats will find a way to justify this apples to oranges vote count as fair & square..... regardless of the facts...... preception will be their reality.

Please note, it may be legal due to the manner in which the Democrats handled themselves here. They attempted to use any means necessary to get the vote totals they wanted while the Republicans attempted to take the high ground & not seek any redress that could undermine confidence in our electoral process & in our ability to hold free, fair & equitable elections.

We will get the government we deserve.
