Duke, <And in a completely unrelated event, Disney has announced that Epcot Center has opened a new park, Lawyerland.>

That's a great one! Will one of the attractions be a children's learning center where kids get to try working a butterfly ballot on their own?

Hi Duke-

I practiced law for 30 years before retiring to a country that has a very un-responsive legal system and where a simple lawsuit, like an eviction, can take 2-3 years. I laugh at lawyer jokes, and like most of us, get frustrated at the excesses and abuses of the legal system in the United States.
However, given the choice, I would take the US system any day. It is honest, for the most part, and gets things done. Everyone complains about the Post Office, the telephone company and the legal system in the US. Fact is, we have by far the best systems in the world. It is too bad that all Americans cannot live somewhere else for a while. The bitching level would drop way off.

Frank

That would assume that hand counting has a higher than .9973 accuracy (I would find that doubtful, as a lot of extrapolations will probably occur on ballots of questionable clarity)
