You didn't know when a President's term begins; you didn't know the composition of the Senate during the Reagan Administration; you didn't understand that the US Senate might possibly be a definitive source of information about the US Senate; you didn't know that the 2/3 majority requirement for the Senate isn't applicable to the actions with the House; you don't know the difference between proposed legislation, sic, House Resolutions and Senate Bills and legislation. Let's hold on to our seats...You're absolutely wrong about the budget process! My, aren't we surprised? Goodness, doesn't the Senate have a role in the Appropriations Bills? [Sorry, to sneak that new word in - Appropriations] Do you recall Senator Lott renigging on his Republican negotiators, just a few weeks ago?History shows us... This coming from the guy that doesn't know when the President's term begins. Vendit, we've been doing this for over 200 years. Can you imagine what else you might have missed? I won't bother going through the budget process other than the "subtle" hint that the US Senate has a major role. In fact, arguably, more of a role than the House. But such a discussion you are hardly ready for. I can't imagine that you could handle a spreadsheet from the GPO on the historical US budget, outlays and deficits. Heck, you haven't even been able to handle clicking on a provided link and adding Yes votes, No Votes and Absent. I guess this is what conservatives refer to as "Fuzzy math". With respect to your other posts....you're a characterization of what I refer to as Rush automatons ; incapable of separating fact from fiction, incapable of independent thought and incapable of saying anything other than what you're told to say. With respect to your comment on "liberals are funny when they are panicky" [or something close to that]. What has happened is absolutely fabulous. First, the events are showing that the Constitutional process of electing a President is sound and robust and accounts for every little bump in the road to swearing in a President [whoever that might be] and second GW is making a complete buffoon out of himself in front of all of America. C'mon, claim that a manual recount is for the purpose of dirty politics at the same time as having signed legislation in Texas authorizing a manual recount...the man is a buffoon. The bozo not only embarassed himself, he made a fool out of James Baker at the same time. Panicking? I'm enjoying every minute of it. BTW, you're also making the double punching ballot voters of Palm Beach look like geniuses, they were able to at least find the ballot, I don't think you were ever able to find the composition of the Senate when I gave you the link [twice]. Next time the GOP rants about the failed education system, give them a call, you can be their poster child. Regards, jttmab
