Peter Jennings, on ABC news, said the other night that some of the voting machines in this country were 100-years old or older.

After this catastrophe, by the next election, I imagine voters will find modern machines and ballots that are better designed.

I feel very sorry for the people in Palm Beach. My heart goes out to them, but what I've read is that the courts have not favored new election in other situations.

Here's some advice, if you are busy and do not have the time to go to the voting booth, I'd urge you to vote absentee. Every election in Seattle, WA, I receive an absentee ballot in the mail. I registered once for this privilege. I understand that this type of program is not available in all states. Maybe, it should be.
