Factually incorrect. Jefferson won on the Republican Party ticket, the only other party was Federalist. Lincoln won on the Republican Party ticket. The other major party -- Democratic -- split into the Douglas and Breckinridge parts -- Breckinridge Democrats were the third party. In addition, Bell on the Constitutional Union party ran. Roosevelt won on the Republican ticket in 1904, and ran on the Bull Moose (s.c.) ticket in 1912 but lost (came in second after Wilson.)
