Scumbria Re..Clinton was in a no-win situation, where an admission of philandering would have finished his Presidency. He chose to lie and keep the job.

Thats it, as long as one is lying to keep his job, that makes it alright. Get a grip. He should have told the truth and then we;his boss, could have decided if he should keep his job. Secondly, why do I feel that the only fault you think Bill has is his philandering ways. What about taking money from our adversary, the Chineese, what about the taiwan donations, what about having drug dealers and gun runners invited into white house parties in return for donations, what about the renting of white house bedrooms for personal gains, what about his involvement in a scam which cost the people of Alabama $500,000 in secured loans because Bill while governor backed giving the Whitewater project the money. That is conflict of interest. Same with Hillery drawing up the legal papers for that loan. That is conflict of interest. While conflict of interest may not be illegal, it sure as hell isn't right either. Why don't those type of things bother you? Why is it that only a bl**job and a cigar bothers you, but the rest don't.

Powell warned Bush that defending Sarajevo would cost 20 - 30,000 American lives.

Who can say that it wouldn't have at that time. I doubt if you know that for sure. I know I don't. Also, we needed European cooperation. How can you be so sure we would have gotten it?

The Serbs were sitting ducks on a hill outside the city.

They also were sitting ducks in Kosovo 6 yrs later. But how many tanks did the US actually destroy. According to a Newsweek piece I read, it was less than 50. MIloskovich gave up in Kosovo not because we destroyed their army, but because their patriots; the russians, couldn't afford it, politically or financially. That is why Miloskovich gave up in Kosovo and why he gave up ultimately in Yugoslavia. That wouldn't have happened 6 yrs earlier, because Yeltsin wouldn't have ditched Slobodian, Putin did.
