No, it doesn't. Some commentator explained that the paragraph after the paragraph that says that all ballots shall have the name of the candidate to the left of the mark, or whatever, allows for butterfly ballots. I don't remember the exact reason, though.

Yes, it is apparently hypocritical of the Bush campaign to want to stop the manual count since the GOP has used it to their advantage before (according to the San Jose Mercury).

No, the votes with two punches should not count. If they do, then we should have to go back and do manual checks of every single ballot cast in the country. Why should Palm Beach be so special? Why shouldn't everyone's vote count? Again, the 19,000 people were apparently not so confused that they couldn't correct their vote before they left the voting booth -- apparently they're just too stupid to realize that you're only allowed to vote for one candidate!. Since there are a lot of stupid people in the country, why shouldn't all of their votes be counted? <G>
