Yep. I do believe Baker. He has shown himself to be a man of honor with a record of service to his country during the Reagan and Bush years. I haven't seen any credible source report this alleged action by the Bush camp. Their actions in Florida would seem to undercut such assertions. I'm sorry to say I can't say that any of the various cronies Gore has selected for his team appears to be honorable or believable. That Michael Kramer column that appeared in the NY Daily news quoted "an unnamed Bush aide." For all we know, Mr. Kramer invented the story.

Doribee, I had the same reaction when I saw Daley get this vacant, evasive look on his face when asked if the Dems were assisting the individuals bringing suit in PB. He said he didn't know anything about the people or the suits, the whole tone of his voice changed-- it was very peculiar. I find it hard- no,make that impossible- to believe that both sides don;'t know every sordid detail about this entire situation, regardless of their "involvement". His disingenuous response made me queasy- and quite suspicious. By the way, I have great respect for public school teachers. Some of my best friends are teachers :) As in any profession, you have the truly dedicated and caring, and you have the inept. I bet you are one of the good ones.
