Bottomline, Dem lawyers so far are smarter than GOP lawyers. Bush was ill-advised to pretend he'd already won the election. It was an act of denial. It was intended to fool the public into thinking it was ovre when it was never over. Absentee ballots hadn't even come in yet.

Dear Selectric II: time period has expired for most Rep. counties. Started when vote certified which didnt take long as most of the counties are relatively small though many of them. Gore, IMHO outsmarted Bush by making a to do over the ballot design and not initially the count. Once the time expired his TRUE INTENT became obvious, limited recounts, but too late for the unsuspecting Bush. Unless a judge orders a recount of the state either all hand recounts will be discarded or SELECTED hand counts will be allowed. Who would have ever thought our election process could be subverted SO PUBLICLY and SO BRAZENLY? Looks like the USA is in trouble to me. JDN
