George's reference to the May 2000 Ancor Shareholder Meeting reminded me that the Silkworm 6400 did not catch QLogic off guard:

Rumors of a low RAS director from Brocade in the offing. If this comes to be, will reduce the price that can be charged for directors.

I'm interested in hearing if the 6400 adds incremental sales, or if it cannibalizes other Silkworm sales. I'm not in the business, but it strikes me as offering a shrinkwrapped 3-pack of Kleenix to complement a single box SKU. My understanding is the 6400 does not offer new capabilities but makes it more convenient for Brocade customers to implement larger SANs. Feedback from those in the industry appreciated.
