There are, unfortunately, a number of characteristics of hypocrisy in the challenge...the other one chastising the Gore camp for hinting at legal action and then being the first ones [of the parties] to file.

A better claim and a sound one if you were in the situation where all counties seemed to be in the same status. For example is all the counties had the same % of ballots that failed, manual recount might be viewed as an all or none proposition. On the other hand if a set of counties had a disproportionate number of errors from other counties, I would argue that manual recounting was needed to achieve fairness.

I may have an opinion on the matter, but the process will resolve this and I'm pretty confident that it will do it well. If both candidates/parties with just permanently put duct tape over their mouths until this is over, we and they would be much better off.

BTW. I don't have a problem with conservatives...some of my best friends are conservatives. But some of the recent additions to the thread, frankly, they are dolts.

If/When I find some pure plays in ballot counting systems, I'll pass them on. <s>
