Larry, NOTHING made sense this week. Software sales depend on hardware sales; 'Net hardware sales depend (90%+) upon PC sales. And 'Net service shares depend upon a safe and happy economy.

Charts are nonsense when the fundementals have diverged so much from share prices. Not to mention an election crisis in play. Eventually, everything HAS to level out and calc down.

Compare the 2001 P/Es for CMVT and Cisco to those for your average SOX stock. Assume a 20% reduction in PC sales and in 'Net users too. Recalc next year's profits and then tell me which stock is the better buy.
