Bush may not be able to get anymore hand recounts in Florida. He will then have to atack Iowa, Wisc, NM and Oregon instead. If Gore wins Florida he will have 287 electoral votes (including Oregon but not NM). Bush would haev to have to take at least Wisc and Oregon away from Gore then hang onto NM to win. -- The only way Bush can get a recount in Florida counties now is for a federal court to overturn Florida state law as unconstitutional. Baker has his work cut out for him to try and prove that. And if he were to win the Dems could take it all the way to the Supreme Court. -- My guess is that Bush is going to end up the sore loser here, but it's only a guess. I could be wrong. A lot will depend on what happens tomorrow in Florida federal court. Baker's whole argument seems to be that hand counting is not as accurate as machine counting. But since Bush is on record as favoring hand counting to settle disputes that is a slippery slope Baker has to climb.
