Gore is following Florida law. That's a fact. Bush
is trying to overturn Florida law. That's another
fact.

The only way for this to end is for the process to
run its course and the tallies be announced by

Interesting. I have heard the dems and others say that the suit by Bush doesn't have much of a chance for serious consideration, that the Feds won't touch it. Do you see it that way?

I've looked again, and still cant find the Machine Count Clause in the Constitution. Under the Robert Bork original intent of the framers approach to the constitution, only hand counts should be allowed in any event.

Anyone else out there think that it's a tad ironic that the federalist, strict constructionist GW has run to federal court using the federal civil rights statutes to bail himself out? Why did he sign that unconstitutional Texas law preferring hand recounts over machine recounts?
