To restate my point... I've successfully traded QQQ using the following scheme, all using qCharts and visible on one screen...

I trade in the direction of the MACD (12,26,9) on the hourly bars. This indicator has relatively few and very manageable whipsaws.
This indicator has been short since 1 pm Monday nov 06 (bassically short all week).
Then to time my trades WITHIN this MACD "trend" indicator, I trade the consensus direction of the following 3 shorter term indicators:

30 min. chart Stochastics (14(1),3)
5 min chart MACD (12,26,9)
5 min chart DI (14,14) directional movement index

This week whenever 2 or 3 of the 3 shorter term indicators went short (WITHIN the hourly MACD -defined downtrend) I sold short.. When 2 of the 3 shorter term indicators went long, I covered my shorts and went flat.

I closed all positions every day (I dont hold overnight trades).

FYI, on Fridays close all 4 indicators were short. That was the reason I wrote, expecting a bounce is wishing for an outcome that is opposed to the bearish technical signals.
