ws, i understand there were 26k ballots thrown out in a republican precinct. i also understand 800 ballots were tossed b/c 800 republicans filled in the bush check box and then listed bush again in the write in box. a hand count in the state is the ONLY way to get FAIR results if a hand count is allowed. gore knows this. he doesn't want FAIR. he isn't confident that he'd win the state with a full fledged hand count. therefore, he focused on 9-1 democratic precincts. i emphatically do not buy the argument that bush votes obviously were counted and only gore votes were tossed. i've seen no data to support it and i've seen data that appears to totally dismiss it. 26k votes being tossed with at least 800 being for bush tosses that "theory" out on its *ss. bush is nervous b/c i think he knows he lost. not necessarily the election - but the game of wits. the hypocrisy of both sides is thick and deep.
