As I said many posts back, if the Country survived multiple wars, including a civil war, multiple Presidents either assassinated or dying in office, two Impeachment trials and a Presidential resignation, I am sure it will easily survive and not be harmed by taking the time necessary to resolve this in the six or so outstanding states.

The Founding Fathers have developed a mechanism to address what happens next if all the electoral votes are not in and probably the Supreme Court will decide if all the electoral votes need to be in.

I rank the statements like "harm to the country", "do the right thing and step aside" as emotional blackmail at best and pure trash at worst. They are right up there with "this isn't personal, it's business", "the check's in the mail", and one we all know that is too crass to post.

If there is one thing I could pinpoint about the current Republican Party that bothers me more than anything else, it is this:

As if Divinely inspired, they have this disgusting habit of believing that they have a monopoly on patriotism and moral righteousness.
