When the market peaked in late March of this yr., it recovered for a couple of months to a point near its high, and sometimes the topping out process can actually go into new territory. This is probably more psychological in nature since the majority of people in the market can never be right all the time and at the right time. So i would say that is when this market decline started.

Old econ Vs. New: How can one separate the main driving force of this Bull market and strong economy from the rest, the old economy, is beyond my thinking. If we slip into a recession, wouldn't these slower growth, old economy types experience the same, i would say probably more so then not.

And in 1994 the Nasdaq topped weeks after the Dow did. Liz that's the Nas topped the Dow first.
