Hello Voltaire, Looks like RDRAM & P4 in production in volume.

messages.yahoo.com

RDRAM prices have had some pyrotechnics lately, with the largest
increase in prices ever followed one day later by the largest decrease ever:
members.home.com
Presumably the spike up was caused by the recent availability of the P4
to buyers willing to pay a premium and to build a system themselves.
The large immediate subsequent drop confirms an adequate supply with many
manufacturers. In fact prices are the cheapest ever for RDRAM.
While the Register headlines stories about companies no one has heard of,
and who never made RDRAM, to the effect that they are continuing
not to make any, dramatic changes are happening.
Pricewatch now lists supplies from Goldstar (owned by Hyundai) and IBM
(yes, IBM is a DRAM manufacturer, and is listed on the www.rambus.com site as a
RDRAM maker). Okay, Hyundai and IBM may not be
important the way whatcha-wanna-callum the Register was talking
about, but it sounds pretty good to me.
Why is there Goldstar and IBM RDRAM now if RDRAM is fading?
Also note that Toshiba has expanded its RDRAM production.
It is now also supplying the PC800/700/600 market instead of just games.
Yes, Toshiba had talked about this possibility early in the
year, but it is certainly good to see Toshiba PC800 for
sale. I suppose Andrew Young doesn't find that notable,
but I sure do.
Meanwhile AMD has abandoned the Mustang, and is reporting that they
will be lucky to hit 1.5GHz by the time Intel hits 2.0GHz.
Things are looking up.

Thank You
JK
