Except there is no precedent to support a 14th amendment suit here. This has to be one of the most frivolous suits ever filed. The liberal legal community is really enjoying this. Republicans bring a suit that is generally against everything the conservative judiciary profess to believe in. I would like to see them convince Justice Scalia that federal courts should over ride what has traditional been an area of local jurisdiction or that manual vote counts violate the 14th amendment when all vote counts were manual at the time the 14th amendment was adopted or that political partisans are a protected class due heightened scrutiny. I guess the next nonsense we’ll hear is that equal protection means that all voters must have the same ballot or have their votes counted by the same type of machines.

Can your mindless partisan babbling. Who cares what you think of democrats? Or what I think of republicans?
The campaign is over. Your side is no more saintly than the other and you know it. This is politics and now it is law. Public opinion is split so won't have any real influence. Protestations on both sides cancel each other out. "Just the facts" now means whatever happens in the courts and with the count. We cannot predict nor judge. Neither side can claim victory and Bush was wrong to do so just as the TV networks were. Both sides are trying everything in the book and we can expect that to continue.
