Scumbria,

Bush has a chance to "govern"; Gore has none at this point. Cut your losses, a neutralized Bush is better than an dispised Gore.

Hi Scumbria, re:...Colorado overwhelmingly passed a bill requiring background checks at gun shows...

Normally, I don't post on gun stuff - tend to be ambivalent. But I have to wonder, would such background checks have done squat to prevent a Columbine?

If not (my assumption), what makes one think that the overreaction that's likely to occur after the election (assuming there is an "after", :^) will be effective?

RE:"BTW, 18 months after Littleton, Colorado overwhelmingly passed a bill requiring background checks at gun shows. There is hope for reform, if the lesson is painful enough."

I'm all for background checks at gun shows. Does this mean I'm a liberal?
BTW, what was all the Gore pandering to the "hunters" during the debates? LOL

Jim

SCUMbria - Re: "18 months after Littleton, Colorado overwhelmingly passed a bill requiring background checks at gun shows. "

Great solution !!!

Two sets of parents spend apparently ZERO time with their kids - who happen to be planning to kill off their entire school - and the yokels think passing another gun control law is going to prevent kids from killing other kids.

STUPIDITY in COLORADO sure isn't on the way out.
