then the electors from the other states can vote without participation of Florida.

Yes indeed... in the post below, go to the link on CNN news...

I was worried about a decent majority of one party controlling both houses and the presidency. That won't hapen now.

Isn't that just a beautiful thing... politicians arguing in circles without accomplishing anything [so what's new?]

Slowly, irrelevancy is the prime characteristic of their existence, too bad the majority still listens to them, and unfortunately, not quite as irrelevant, as we have seen in the markets, but perhaps soon. The trek starts with the first step.

. I believe this is being maipulated by the Houses now using the election process as an excuse to drive down prices so they can pick up on the cheap.

I doubt it. The half brain of the politicians would not allow them to even consider the possibility. All they are interested is their damned EGO regardless of ANY consequences, in their eyes they will make up another lie to fix what they are destroying now... unfortunately, the masses will believe them.

So, my opinion for the market is concerned is that it goes down, pretty consistently and pretty dramatically for a while more causing millions of investors to be squeezed out of the market.

Yes, they will go down, but for those with cash, patience and NO margin, in the end this will prove to be another opportunity --in this case, one may require a little more patience [ah yes, but a lot less cash -g-]

That's where the real fraud is happening.

Oh com'on now... When have the politician stopped de-frauding the people, this is just one of the consequences.

What we need to do is tell them (without the media interfering i.e. polling), how we all really feel.

We're Divided, And We'd Better Get Used to It

What a wild, crazy, amazing election!

Well, not entirely.

The outcome is certainly amazing, defying as it does mathematical probabilities and leaving the country in the electoral dark long after the ballots have been cast. But the result actually reflects facts that political scientists have established convincingly: The American electorate is now stable, deeply partisan and evenly split on one subject after another.

"For those who want to really figure out elections, what's the lesson of 2000? Pay attention to the fundamental factors that we know influence electoral outcomes, not to the talking heads who assume a passive, manipulable electorate. Use the fruits of scholarship to understand the context for every election, then watch to see if the candidates acknowledge that context intelligently and take effective steps to maximize their chances. Oh, and be sure the voters in Palm Beach can understand the ballot."
