According to the Sunday Times of London, it's Strom Thurmond, 98, who becomes president.

<<so if we have no decision by 1/20 or whatever the day is then who becomes president? the speaker? >>

Dennis Hastert who is the great speaker of the house from Illinois will become the acting president. The House will then decide with each state having one vote, ie, Montana will be equal with California.
