tradermike_1999: What do you see as a catalyst for an economic rebound ?

A resolution to the presidential election may be viewed favorably by markets irrespective of the candidate; just to have that behind us.

But I see some treaty breakthrough in the Middle East as being one potential source and another would be market improvement in domestic consumer spending in relation to savings, and a reduction of corporate debt. Neither of these things can come overnight but a stabilization period may be necessary.

It is my opinion that leveraged debt,(consumer, corporate and governmental) is once again at the heart of the problem. In the future, economic cycles may be measured by a threshold ratio for gdp/debt or something like that.
