Let's see, you Repubs say that the Dems exaggerate and are prone to hyperbole. But, anecdotally from this board, I see you Chris calling all pro-choice people murderers and old Cyberweed calling all Democratic Senators Marxist-Leninists. Yet Dems are the ranters and ravers huh?

So sorry I don't meet the high ideals of the Republican party...that is why I'm relegated to independent status.

Give me a friggin' break...the elections the Republicans win, they win in spite of their issues and acceptance by the Religious Right, not because of the Religious Right. Believe me, when I voted for Reagan and Bush in the '80s, I did so in spite of the Christian Coalition endorsement. Of course, I guess, if we aren't all members of that Coalition, we are heathens as well.

Take 1984 and 1988 for example, the vote % that Reagan and Bush got show conclusively that they won votes from people who were PRO CHOICE(or as you say murderers). Fortunately, for both Bush and Reagan, people who differed with the Republican Platform re: abortion, did not use that as a litmus test and voted for them, AS I DID IN '80, '84, AND '88, on the basis of issues other than abortion.

You guys crack me up...thank God for separation of Church and State.
