Kilo....

>>I personally applaud Novell for openly rejecting support of an intolerant and discriminatory organization, however benignly dressed.>>

I wouldn't read too much into this.

The Supreme Court ruled the Scouts had a right to come up with their own policies against homosexuals. The backlash that's going against the Scouts is really quite amusing. I see this as being more politically related than anything else.

Novell is culturally deep in Morman country where the scouting program is held in very high regard. Actually I find it more troubling and hypocritical of them to be sending mixed signals.

Playing both sides agains the middle involves ZERO risk. Taking ZERO risk is corrupt. For ZERO risk creates ZERO value.

Novell has beem famous for expressing and taking few risks.

The marketplace, the world, business, individuals all thrive, evolve and advance on RISK. Those who "create the future" more naturally embrace risk. Those that react to the future more naturally avoid taking risks.

Sorry for sounding "preachy."

JMHO....

Peace.

GO!!

Kilo-- I disagree! I'd not punish the children for the policies they do not set. Entirely novl's right to their policy but why not support the children and make the statement on another front?
