Brad, I wouldn't want to see it go away. I would like to see, like a giant ship, a gradual shift to private investment of the funds in order to get a gigantically larger return. Of course, these type changes would have to be worked in slowly and only with very young workers with a long time horizon. Right now I don't believe there is any true earnings on your social security investment. The money, excepting money to pay current recipients, goes into general revenue so where is the interest? Another giant benefit of more privatization beyond the earnings would be the money would belong to the person working for it. Presently, you have a very good chance of never collecting a dime from social security. Die before reaching retirement age and you or your estate receives essentially nothing. If your spouse or your children happen to not hit the qualifying factors they will receive nothing. With privatization you and your family will own the account.

AND look where that got us. We have a BUNCH of HUMAN Warehouses...>With BIG DRUG companies BASHING HUGE sums out of the System. Hillary Clinton's HEALTH CARE REFORM HATCHET JOB DID NOT HELP. I DOUBT if Hillaries Electoral College Bashing is going to be any different. This pattern TOTALLY SUCKS. Hillary YOU SUCK!
