Yes, I haven't even looked at your map yet, but if you showed a national map with complete county breakdowns, Gore's territory would look almost absolutely miniscule by comparison(though spread out better). But Geographical regions don't elect a President. Not unless the effect of the Electoral College comes into play. But no matter how many experts I listen too on TV, I still can't see that it does much of anything to protect areas of the country by geography or population. It's known that you HAVE to have an election exactly this close in order to have an electoral college popular vote mismatch, which is no help that I can see, and which in fact, if Bush overtakes in the popular vote in the end, the EC could go against the "yokels" here. Think about it.

Now, if you just say, added 2 electors to each states total, why then you'd start to give low pop large area states some extra clout! I'm just not sure why. Heck, we all think we'll survive no matter who wins this because, bottom line, like no country before us, we are specifically a Republic, which by design intends to protect our individual rights first and foremost. It kinda works, ya know?
