Joe: IMO the sell side is just as nervous as the long side of the market. We have tested the lows many times now in the face of ever increasing bad news. Any positive news on the election front will bring a very swift and strong response to the upside. If this happens the short side of the market will be scrambling to cover and go long. Just as an example I just finished placing buy stops on any short positions I hold, with exception of one, 5% above Fri's close. Ken
