Re:50nm testing being done to push the limits to see what breaks. Reliability testing on AMD's 50nm gates began well over a year ago. "Both fabs capable of 40 million CPU's next year." well that's interesting. 40M x 2 x 90asp = 7.2B in cpu revenue. that's a lot. by comparison, q3's 6.9M CPUs yielded $625M or only 2.5B annualized suddenly $90 asp's don't look so shabby if AMD can actually sell anything close to that number of units. T.
