Exactly, Zeev, and as the post you responded to makes clear, we can expect yet another legal battle over the meaning of the word "appointed" if the situation arises. I didn't think it was possible that we could end up with an interim President, but maybe it is. In real life though I don't think there is any chance we'll get there, but you never know. As I have said, I think that Daley can easily "find" enough extra votes to swing the election, and Bush has allowed the Republican counties to certify their vote so he has no where left to "find" his own votes. Thus I suppose we are left with a legal standard where you must cast your vote correctly, except in certain predominately Democratic counties where the county will guess what you intended to do. Either that or we have more legal action ahead. Carl
