Maybe just maybe we can dip your smile a little-

Fund manager Ron Brenhouse says he was contacted by two lawyers from the "Gore effort," urging him to file an absentee ballot after Election Day. One allegedly offered Brenhouse a free flight to Havana, where he could file the ballot with a fraudulent pre-election postmark.

Gore did not misstate his role in Vietnam: he lied about being in fire fights. He did not misstate his academic record: he lied about being a brilliant student. He did not misstate his relationship to tobacco after his sister's death: he lied about having severed connection to the industry. He did not misstate the results of his journalism: he lied about having gotten "a bunch of guys indicted and convicted". He did not misstate his legislative achievements: he took credit for sponsoring or cosponsoring legislation that originated before he was in the right chamber, or after he had become vice- president. He did not misstate the reason his father lost his seat: he lied, his father did not support the Civil Rights Act, voted against it, and lost due to his opposition to the Vietnam War. He did not misstate growing up on a farm: he lied, instead of acknowledging that he grew up in Northwest Washington in a residential hotel near the National Cathedral. His lies are numerous and brazen. They are not mere embellishments. They are not misunderstandings. They are not invented...........
